Frequently asked questions
My caffeine or water data is not appearing in Apple Health.
In MyCaffeine, open Settings → Apple Health and confirm the relevant sync option is enabled. Then open Apple Health or iOS Settings and check that MyCaffeine has permission to write Caffeine or Water.
Apple Health permissions are set per data type. MyCaffeine cannot read whether write permission was denied, so re-checking the system setting is the best first step.
Why does MyCaffeine show a different amount from another calculator?
MyCaffeine models caffeine as gradually absorbed over about 45 minutes, then applies exponential decay using the half-life in your settings. Another calculator may assume an instant dose, a different half-life or a different serving figure.
Can I change my caffeine half-life and limits?
Yes. Open Settings → Metabolic Preferences to set your half-life, daily limit, bedtime and bedtime limit. You can also use the optional Metabolic Calculator for a personalised suggestion.
A branded drink is missing or its information looks wrong.
Use Report a Problem in the app to report a drink, request a country or share a source. The catalogue varies by region and product recipes can change, so always check the product label when accuracy is important.
How do I restore MyCaffeine Pro?
Open the Pro screen in MyCaffeine and use Restore Purchases while signed into the same Apple account used for the original purchase. If the entitlement still does not appear, include your app version and iOS version when contacting support—never send payment-card information.
How do I export or delete my data?
Open Settings → Data Management to export caffeine and water history as CSV or JSON for a timeframe you choose. Your logs are stored locally and can be deleted from inside the app. Apple Health samples can also be reviewed or removed in Apple Health.
